Biography:
Chris Kuskey is a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Moundsville, WV. Describing his distinct blend of extended harmonies and rock timbres as “arena jazz,” Kuskey aimed to provide his genre’s treatise with his latest release, J Walkers’ Anonymous. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Kuskey in his home studio, the LP, released October 31, spans the bouncy pop of “Ghosts of You,” to the rock tinged “Falling Down the Stairs” and “Temptation,” to the introspective whisper of “Sidewalk Lullaby.” Throughout the project, the lyrics are front and center, establishing Kuskey’s unique voice as a writer. Though the themes may sometimes seem “naive, cynical, or a sinister blend of both,” Kuskey’s definitely a writer first, doing far more than merely “rapping tired old platitudes.”
