DESCRIPTION

Miles Davis - Copenhagen Live 1969 documents an important chapter in Miles Davis' transition into his electric period. This live recording captured in November of that year features Miles' "lost quintet" of Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Dave Holland and Jack DeJohnette performing a handful of songs from the recently recorded but not yet released Bitches Brew ("Miles Runs the Voodoo Down," "Sanctuary", title track), a track from the recently released In A Silent Way plus reimagined songs from his earlier periods. Previously available on video or through a highly limited vinyl release, this recording is now available as a 2LP set on black vinyl. The package features mind-bending gatefold artwork by Mati Klarwein, whose work adorns Miles classics like Bitches Brew and Live-Evil.
