Charles Wesley Godwin's highly anticipated new album, Christian Name, his fourth album and second with Big Loud Records, is an intensely personal collection of songs. Born out of moments of mourning, redemption, and a tried-and-true reaffirmation of his faith, Christian Name is how Godwin learned to live again. While the record is a highly personal affair – the album's title and cover come from his late grandfather, a Methodist preacher named Charles Godwin – he’s quick to note how critical a role his creative community of friends and musical collaborators played in the album’s conception.
