Released by Roadrunner Records in 2009, Killswitch Engage was the band’s fifth album, as well as their second self-titled release (their 2000 debut was also simply called Killswitch Engage). The band comprised of Mike D'Antonio on bass, Adam Dutkiewicz on lead guitar, Justin Foley on drums, Howard Jones on lead vocals and Joel Stroetzel on rhythm guitar. Produced by Adam Dutkiewicz and Brendan O'Brien, it was their highest charting album at the time, debuting and peaking at Number 7 on the Billboard 200 (plus a US Hard Rock Albums Number 1), and featuring the singles “Reckoning,” “Starting Over,” “Take Me Away,” and “Save Me.”
